- Table extraction with custom columns: New "table" field type — define as many columns per row as you need. Ideal for invoice line items, order lists or delivery notes with multiple values per row.
- Inbox automation: Every template gets its own email address. Send a document as an attachment — DokuScan processes it automatically, no login required. Included from the Starter package.
- Validation rules: Min/max values for number fields, allowed options for text fields, and automatic checks for dates in the future. Scans with issues are clearly flagged in the review view.
- Template version history: Every change to a template is automatically saved as a version. View earlier states at any time and restore them with one click.

v1.1.0 — Table extraction & review workflow
Read, review and export table rows
- Table extraction: DokuScan can now extract entire tables from documents — each row is saved as its own record. Ideal for timesheets, delivery notes and order lists.
- Three extraction modes: Individual fields, table rows, or both combined — depending on how the document is structured.
- Improved review view: Every extracted row can be individually reviewed, corrected, added or deleted — directly in the browser, no download required.
- Confidence display: Every scan shows how confident the AI was during extraction. Low values signal that manual review is advisable.
- Field types: Text, numbers, date, yes/no — the AI automatically recognizes the appropriate type and formats values accordingly.
- Improved security: Document content is clearly separated from processing instructions — attempts to manipulate the system via uploaded documents are detected and blocked.

DokuScan is ready for production use
- Scan packages: One-time payments with no subscription or credit card — simply buy and use scans. Unused scans never expire.
- 10 free scans: New accounts can try DokuScan without registering a payment method.
- Automatic credit: If a scan fails, the credit is automatically refunded.
- Duplicate protection: Files that have already been uploaded are automatically detected and not billed twice.
- PDF splitting: Multi-page PDFs are automatically split — each page processed as its own scan.
- Processing display: After upload, DokuScan shows in real time which documents are currently being processed.
- Secure file storage: All documents are stored encrypted in the EU. No access by third parties.

Feb 2025- Excel export: Columns exactly match your defined fields — open directly in Excel, process further, or send to your tax advisor.
- CSV export: For import into other systems — delimiter freely selectable (semicolon, comma, tab).
- Batch export: Export multiple scans at once as a single file.
- Single export: Download an individual scan directly from the review view.
v0.8.0 — Review view with document preview
Jan 2025- Split screen: Original document and extracted fields side by side — no switching between tabs needed.
- Batch navigation: Next, back, skip — efficiently work through many scans in sequence.
- Auto-save: Changes are saved automatically when moving to the next document.
- Progress display: Overview of how many scans have already been reviewed and how many remain.

Dec 2024- Define your own fields: Name, type and an optional hint for the AI — no programming required.
- Duplicate templates: Copy existing templates and adapt them for similar documents.
- Default template: Mark a template as the default — automatically suggested on the next upload.
- Recently used: DokuScan remembers which template was used last.
v0.6.0 — AI extraction & text recognition
Nov 2024- Fast text recognition: Digital PDFs are read directly — noticeably faster than scanned documents.
- OCR for scans and photos: Scanned documents and photos are automatically prepared via text recognition before the AI takes over.
- Error retry: If processing fails, a second and third attempt is automatically started.
- Background processing: All scans are processed in the background — the browser doesn't need to stay open.
v0.5.0 — Upload system
Oct 2024- Up to 25 files at once: PDF, JPG and PNG up to 20 MB per file.
- Background processing: After upload, everything runs automatically — no waiting in the browser.
- File size check: Oversized files are caught immediately and not unnecessarily charged.

Sep 2024- Complete account separation: Data from different accounts is strictly separated — no mutual access possible.
- Per-account settings: Language, notifications and upload limits individually configurable.
- Secure file management: Every account has an isolated storage area for uploaded documents.

Jul 2024- Secure payment: Credit card data is not stored on DokuScan servers — processed via a certified payment provider.

- Idempotent processing: Duplicate payment confirmations are detected and not booked twice.
